Priests as Self-appointed Intercessors between God and the People – Part 8

Priest put themselves above other people, even if they pretend otherwise. Their pulpit is a symbol of this. Pope Benedict recited the words of the Church “saint” John of Ars, patron of all priests, who taught: “Oh, how great is the priest … God obeys him: He pronounces two sentences and at his word the Lord descends from heaven and joins in a host … Without the sacrament of Holy Orders” – meaning the priests’ ordination – “we had not the Lord. Who put him there in the tabernacle? The priest. Who received your soul at the beginning of your life? The priest. Who nurtures it to give it the strength to complete its pilgrimage? The priest. Who will prepare it to appear before God by washing it for the last time in the blood of Jesus Christ? The priest. The priest, always the priest. And if this soul dies of sin, who will reawaken it, who will restore its calm and peace? Again the priest. … After God, the priest is everything! … Only in Heaven, he will fully recognize himself.” According to binding Catholic doctrine, God obeys the priest. This is a mockery of God and Christ. Thus, the clerics place themselves even above God. According to the teaching of the Vatican church, this is valid for paedophile priests, too.
